Motorized Plantation Shutters
How It Works
The technology behind Kirtz Motorized Plantation Shutters is both technically advanced and simple to use and install.
The remote control transmits a signal using radio frequency(RF) to a receiver hidden within the shutter stile. Unlike infrared systems, there is no eye or other visible mechanical pieces, making Kirtz motorized shutters indistinguishable from our traditional shutters.
Depending on your preference, you may adjust one shutter or simultaneously control multiple shutters with a single touch. RF also means you don't need to point or aim the remote at the shutter you wish to control.
The RF control allows precise adjustment of the louvers with a trackball rather than limited level settings. It even has a smart memory, giving you the ability to save your "favorite" position for one touch operation.
Installation is simple - no hardwiring is involved. The system uses AA batteries for minimal maintenance.
Motorized Shutter Features
- Patent-pending right-angle gearbox with built-in slip clutch operation allows both manual and motorized control of louvers
- Brass gears are used for their non-corrosive properties and excellent durability, reminiscent to the construction of a fine timepiece
- Easy access panel to gear box and batteries, discreetly concealed in the hinged side of the shutter
- 6-volt motor requires less energy than current industry standard motors
